A woman bent over a row of vegetables, a child carrying something too big for him, a line of laundry catching the wind. Czimber liked painting gardens because they let him paint labor and leisure in the same frame; nobody in this scene is performing for the viewer, they're just doing what Tuesday afternoon requires.
