This series came from an obsession with thresholds — the idea that a frame within a frame changes what you see. Each canvas in the Portals collection uses layered circles, arches, or geometric openings to pull the eye inward. They read differently from across the room than they do up close, and the effect shifts depending on the light. These are the pieces people stop in front of and stay for a while.
